DC Live! Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, Part 7 Livestream
With Yang’s chapter behind me in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, I’ve made some progress in Palom’s chapter. The kid is in his early 20s now, but he’s just as insufferable as ever. Unlike the other chapters, I do appreciate how he’s at least given some believable character development. He’s still a jerk, but Palom seems to understand he has to work hard to keep growing as a mage beyond his natural talent. He’s not frozen in the past or clueless like everyone else I’ve come across thus far.
Even the plot of his chapter has been more interesting than the previous chapters I’ve explored. Lenora, the Epopt in-training he’s tasked with teaching black magic, is somewhat mysterious. Palom finds it strange that she’s training to become a priestess that only uses white magic, but here she is learning black magic as well. When he inquires about her possibly wanting to become a sage, Lenora ducks the question. I wonder if her training quest is somehow related to the hostile blue-haired girl wrecking shop across the world.
