DC Live: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, part 1

I didn’t know how much streaming I would be doing this year, so I kept the planned list to the basics. This is allowing me to fill in any extra opportunities with some more backlogged games. Super Mario World 2 is one such game.

Yoshi’s Island had been a bit of a white whale for my shopping. While it was already out when I first owned a SNES, it would be years afterward before I finally got my hands on a copy. Heck, I think I already had a PlayStation 2 before it happened.

But, as happens often with the games I bought well out of sequence, I took it for a test drive, then got distracted from finishing it off. I actually have a couple of backlogged 2D Mario games I want to tackle before taking on Wonder, so that effort starts here in a thematically nice parallel to my offline catching up on Zelda games.

If you’re still mourning the end of my Super Mario Maker streams, join us on the blog’s Twitch channel at 8 Eastern.

At some point, a recording of this stream will be up on Damage Control’s YouTube channel and embedded below.
