DC Live! SteamWorld Dig 2, Part 2 Livestream
SteamWorld Dig 2 is off to an exciting start. First, I was wrong about Rusty still being under Tumbleton. It turns out he’s long moved on to the mines of a town called El Machino. He was last spotted before a major earthquake disrupted mining operations. So it’s up to Dorothy to not only find Rusty, but to make El Machino right.
Dorothy plays a lot like Rusty, but right off that bat the game is a bit more difficult. Within the first five minutes, I got into a boss fight with a character named Fen who would eventually join me. While he makes for interesting company I’m not sure if I can personally stand him. Not that I or Dorothy have a choice in the matter. On another note, it’s nice that our new miner bot gets some of the same upgrades Rusty gets, but faster. Her new abilities have also been a joy to discover.
I’m looking forward to making more progress in the deep mines of El Machino, and seeing what new secrets this sequel has in store.
