DC Live! Final Fantasy VI CES challenge post-game, part 4 (final)
At long last, the Kaiser Dragon answered for their many sins. Unfortunately, there’s a rematch in the Soul Shrine. Fortunately, I get to do the fight with all three of my party members. Unfortunately, on the long path up through the undercard of the (official) Kaiser Dragon rematch last week, the Holy Dragon (perhaps the REAL final boss) wiped me. Fortunately, I get to try again. Unfortunately, you get to watch it.
For those who don’t remember (after all, this was 9½ years ago), the CES challenge involves beating the second half of Final Fantasy VI using the minimum possible number of party members: Celes, Edgar and Setzer. Being 5 years prior to the existence of our Twitch channel, the game was played offline with the results simply being blogged about, though there were a few low-rez YouTube clips to illustrate points.
Two years later, I hatched a plan to return to the challenge to try to extend it into the Advance versions new post-game challenge content and superbosses. A plan that remained untouched for 7 years until this month.
