DC Live! Final Fantasy VI CES challenge post-game, part 2
We’ve dug deep into the party-switching dungeon of madness. The way forward to the lord of all dragons appears to be clear. It’s not a straight path, but we at least know what more to do.
For those who don’t remember (after all, this was 9½ years ago), the CES challenge involves beating the second half of Final Fantasy VI using the minimum possible number of party members: Celes, Edgar and Setzer. Being 5 years prior to the existence of our Twitch channel, the game was played offline with the results simply being blogged about, though there were a few low-rez YouTube clips to illustrate points.
Two years later, I hatched a plan to return to the challenge to try to extend it into the Advance versions new post-game challenge content and superbosses. A plan that remained untouched for 7 years until this month.
