DC Live! Thousand Arms, part 11 (final)

I spent roughly a whole stream offline grinding up MP (about 50k worth), gaining intimacy levels (but only by presents; I dare not deprive you of seeing dates) and forging new skills onto weapons (including one more of those top-6 spells).

Tonight, we’re going to try to date our way into another of the Top 6 spells and then make a go at the final boss without the other two (one shouldn’t work on bosses anyway, so we don’t really need it anymore). There may be some grinding involved if I didn’t leave myself enough MP to finish the job, but we’ll see how it goes.

Thousand Arms is an RPG in which your hero is a young blacksmith of destiny tasked with saving the world by killing the emperor. Videogames.com called it “One of the most unique and promising RPG[s] this year [1999],” which was the only praise that made it onto the packaging. I’m assuming Videogames.com was not up on Final Fantasy VIII. Or Star Ocean: The Second Story. Or Suikoden II. Or Jade Cocoon. That being said, I suppose of all these RPGs there aren’t really any two that belong together.
