DC Live! Final Fantasy VIII, Part 5 Livestream
After taking a week off I’m back to streaming more Final Fantasy VIII. My last stream was a success in terms of a rematch with Diablos. The Tomb of the Unknown King quest line also went well, not counting the time I spent lost and getting help from the Twitch chat navigating the map. Then came the fight against the Minotaur Brothers. It turns out leaving the game at three times the normal speed is NOT a good idea during boss fights. I could only marvel at how quickly I got my ass kicked until I turned off this feature. Returning the game to a normal speed definitely helped me win the battle against the two brothers.
As for the game’s story, everything went off the rails after planning the assassination of the sorceress. Squall and Irvine had their assignment, but Quistis and her group left their posts early only to get themselves trapped in a mansion. All of this stupidity because Quistis couldn’t wait until after the mission to apologize to Rinoa for being rude. At this point I’m pretty sure the assassination plot won’t succeed. The question is how spectacularly south this plan will continue to go.
