DC Live! Final Fantasy III, part 1

There’s too many Final Fantasy games I haven’t played. Now that I have a copy of the Pixel Remasters, let’s knock out the earliest game in the series that remains unexplored. By me, anyway. In any case, I’m going to squeeze one more game out of the backlog (currently at 325. I probably don’t need any additional games for the rest of my life) on stream this year.

Plus, it’ll give Damage Control one more Final Fantasy game streamed. Let’s see… I’ve done I, V and soon to be III, Angela has done IV, VI and VIII. I guess II, VII and IX will fall to Geoff? I’ll just be helpful and add them to his Trello list now.

I’ve tried Final Fantasy III in a few fits and starts with a fan-translation and the Nintendo DS remake, but I never really dedicated myself to playing more than the introduction for whatever reason. As such, I’ll be considering this a blind run.

I expect this to be a slower burn, given its vintage. I’d expect it to be a more chill time than my October tradition, even if I can still expect difficulty spikes.

If you’d like to wonder about how knights got named after produce, tune in to the blog’s Twitch channel at 8 Eastern.

At some point, a recording of this stream will be up on Damage Control’s YouTube channel and embedded below.
