Naughty and Nice 2020
Jingle bells. Batman smells. 2020 laid an egg.
With December must also come enforced positivity. Over the next few weeks, you will have the great privilege of watching the Damage Control team squirm and writhe, attempting to say as many nice things about this past year as we do mean ones.
No, really, this is going to be like in elementary school when they make everybody sit in a circle and give everyone else a compliment and you reach the kid nobody likes.
“I like your shirt.”
“You’re weird… in a good way.”
“um… I also like your shirt.”
But before we take on this incomparable challenge, please take a moment to look back upon the nice lists from happier times. …and how each time we thought THAT was a hard year for a nice list.
Seems quaint now, but let that be a reminder that all it takes to dig the hole deeper is a fresh shovel.
