Treasure Hunter – Triple-A March Madness (Part 2 of 2)

A few months after its launch the Wii U isn’t selling very well. While there are a number of reasons for sluggish sales, the dearth of must-have games aren’t helping. Lego City Undercover might not move Wii U units off the shelves but it certainly is a welcome exclusive for Nintendo’s HD console. In this game fans will play as undercover officer, Chase McCain. The officer’s main goal is to bring Rex Fury to justice in LEGO City. McCain can assume a variety of different roles via disguises. Lego City: Undercover might not be the heavy hitting Wii U game of the year but it promises to be fun. If you pre-ordered the game at GameStop before March 18 a McCain action figure was included as a bonus. If you missed your chance to pre-order you can always find the figures for sale on eBay. The game itself retails for $60 and due to shortages might be a little harder to find. Thanks, Nintendo!

The third installment of Hyperdimension Neptunia is here and the franchise is as victorious as ever. In this latest game Neptunia has decided to retire as the series’ main character. She is then transported back in time to a 1989 version of Gamindustri. There, she meets a variety of characters, including old consoles. The Limited Edition of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory includes the game’s soundtrack on disc, a hardcover art book and two time capsule tins. NIS America sold out of the limited edition well before March. If you didn’t pre-order the game you’re out of luck, unless you’re willing to pay a higher price for it on ebay. NIS has the standard edition of the game and it includes a copy of the soundtrack as a bonus. Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory was triumphantly released as a PS3 exclusive on March 21 and costs $50.

The sky is the limit in BioShock Infinite. Irrational Games’ latest take on the BioShock universe is a drastic departure from previous games. The drab underwater world of Rapture has been replaced by the colorful floating sky city of Columbia. Booker Dewitt is a former Pinkerton agent who has been sent to Columbia to rescue Elizabeth. The girl has been held captive in the floating city for 12 years. Dewitt is unable to catch a break as he is pursued by not one, but two warring factions who wish to use Elizabeth for their own gain. BioShock Infinite is one of, if not the most anticipated games of the year so far. Fittingly, there are several collector’s editions available. The BioShock Infinite: Ultimate Songbird Edition is pricey at $150 but it includes a number of appealing items such as a highly detailed nine-inch Songbird statue, a 64-page art book, a lithographic print, a small handyman figure, the murder of crows keychain, a digital version of the soundtrack and various in-game power-ups. As of this writing the Ultimate Songbird Edition is in stock at both Amazon and GameStop. If you would prefer to pass on the Songbird the BioShock Infinite: Premium Edition is also available for $80. It includes everything found in the ultimate edition sans the Songbird statue. BioShock Infinite was released on March 26 and avid fans haven’t been able to stop using the zip line since.
